Fun with BRO

Every Mondays and Wednesdays, Bro comes to my last lecture, Art History 101 @ 5pm. Then, he either drives me to the Downtown Campus or waits with me until Gicel comes to pick me up.
On this random day, we were waiting for Gicel and she was taking forever to come so we played around with the camera I borrowed from the Villacortas. =] (Took lots of pictures while we waited)
We were actually sitting very close to what we thought was a book club meeting, but we don't actually know if they are a book club.
I'm on Spring Break right now so lots of time to edit pictures! Yeah! ;D

First Published Piece ^u^

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked by my friend, Irv, if I wanted to write an article for The Filipino American Journal here in Arizona. I agreed almost immediately and suddenly found myself talking to the Filipino Club president at ASU, Francis, about the details of the opportunity. After exchanging contact information, I soon  after receive an email from the managing editor of the journal regarding the article.
I actually had a hard time coming up with a topic to write about since writing about Filipino students at Arizona State University (my school) was too broad of a subject. With the help of Mr. Aromin (managing editor), I finally found my topic. Originally, my article was supposed to be about the perception that Filipino parents tend to influence their children to major in a science or a related field; however, the end product of my writing turned out to be more of a feature on students trying to get through college. I don't have much experience in writing for a newspaper so writing everything was pretty difficult. But finally the newspaper is here and I'm just glad I got the opportunity to write for this journal. They still want me to continue writing for them, but it will be for practice on my part (meaning I will be writing for them for free ;p). I don't mind this arrangement at all since they are providing me with public exposure for my articles. But for this first article, the journal is treating for lunch at the Wholly Grill close to ASU. Yay!
(I got a lot of page space!)

Thank you Mr. Aromin, Francis, and Irv for this opportunity!

During the writing process, I interviewed Rommel, Jeson, Jeff, and Miggy. Thanks guys!

(The journal didn't include his picture for reasons I'm not sure of. It might because of the limited space available for my article. I'm sorry Miggy! ToT)

Good Student

Last semester I would get really bored during my HCR lecture and would play games like these during class. ;p (Such a good student!) My friend, Jeson, would look over to see what I was doing and laugh at how attentive I was. Of course, I wasn't the only one playing these exact games. There was actually another girl in that class who also played continuously during class (she sat in the front!). Haha! I applaud her for her ninja skills. =]

First Post

First post for this blog! (^u^)

I actually used to blog on blogger often before learning about Tumblr, but sadly I've gone on to neglect blogger soon after I began using Tumblr. =[ Now I'm back and have created a new blog! :D

Random things will be said and feelings will be vented, but please do follow me on my journey to climb to the top of my life's goals. (OuO)
